She was a contestant for Miss Columbus 1985 and won the title, kissing the crown and defeating all of her opponents. In September of 1985 Mohr took part as Georgia at her participation at Miss America 1986 Pageant held in Atlantic City (New Jersey) after her victory. Even though she took home the title but she was not able to make it to the Top-10 of the national finalist list.
